The best thing to do to make sure you get a professional Realtor working for you, is to simply interview a few. Ask your friends, family, co-workers etc. who they would recommend based on their experiences and start there. Set up an appointment with each one of them and tell them you are interviewing several. This will ensure that you are able to evaluate the professionalism and aggressiveness of each Realtor because that same professionalism and aggressiveness will be used by your Realtor of choice in finding a buyer for your home! Make sure each Realtor gives a detailed explanation of his or her marketing strategy and a brief rundown of their recent successes. You want a Realtor who has "been there done that" to make sure they have the experience to handle the sale of your home. Even asking to speak with past clients would provide you with good feedback in making your decision. In the end, you want to work a Realtor that you can trust and have a good working relationship with. I can't stress that enough!!!
