Title Insurance…What is that stuff anyway???

I had a client ask me the other day what title insurance is and what exactly it is that title companies do?  I explained and brought them to a comfortable level of understanding.  But, later that day, it hit me that  there were a lot of things about the whole process of buying and selling a house that were pretty foreign to me prior to me becoming a Realtor.  At that moment I realized that it is no different for anyone else not involved in real estate and that it is my responsibility to provide answers and information.  This revelation if you will, prompted me to do a blog  post  to provide some helpful information.  Below is a link to Foreman & Watson Land Title’s website that clearly describes title insurance and what title companies do as part of a real estate transaction.
